For this album I decided I wanted the lyrics to be in my native tongue which is Latvian.
I suppose it could be called a world beat album because of that.. but I try a number of different styles, musically.. from reggae and country to rock to some electronic styled material.
A friend from Latvia, Aivars Znotins, wrote the lyrics... I then, wrote the music, recorded and produced the album. I played many of the instruments including bass and guitar and did a good deal of electronic sequencing, and did most of the vocals... there are lots of vocal harmonies, something i really like.
however, I did enlist the help of many musician friends...
Maybe someday i'll translate the lyrics of some of the songs into English.
This album is dedicated to Janis Kruka, who contributed keyboards to some tracks but passed away with ALS while I was putting it together.
